Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Elizabeth National Park

After an early morning breakfast start your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. Have a stopover at the Uganda Equator and do a brief photo taking. Proceed to and have lunch in Mbarara town from where you will continue to the Park. The park is one of the outstanding treasures of Uganda and named after Queen Elizabeth II when she visited Uganda in 1954.

Queen Elizabeth Park covers an area of 1,978 sq kms between two big lakes, Lake George and Lake Edward as well as the 34 kms long Kazinga Channel. As you get into the park you will be able to see the escapements of Rwenzori Mountain Crater Lakes, rift valley and several animals in the park plains. The park prides itself in animals like lions, elephants, buffaloes, Kobs, bush bucks, water bucks, warthogs and leopard but among other. Meals and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Enganzi Lodge or Ihamba Safari Lodge on full board.

Day 2: Early morning Game Drive, evening Boat Cruise

You will have a cup of African tea early in the morning and move out for a dawn game drive to catch up with early risers. You will meet with animals including among others buffaloes, water bucks, warthogs, variety of birds, lions, Uganda kobs and many more. Over 95 species of mammals and 600 species of birds are found in the park as per records.

After a game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast followed by relaxation. After lunch later, you will set off for an afternoon/evening boat cruise along Kazinga channel. As you enjoy a Kazinga Channel boat voyage, you will most likely buffaloes close to the water, hippos, elections, dozens of pied kingfishers and Pelicans among others. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning Chimps Tracking, return to Kampala.

Wake up in time to take chimpanzee tracking safari in Kyambura Gorge. After, a chimps tracking, take a mid morning breakfast, check out and start a drive to Kampala. Have lunch in Mbarara town and continue to Kampala where you arrive in the evening. This Uganda wildlife tour ends.
