Full Vacation Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali City
Upon your arrival at Kigali international airport, our company drive /representative will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel for your night stay. Dinner and overnight stay at. Kigali Serena (luxury), Flame tree village (mid-range),Garr hotel(budget).
Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National park and evening game drive
Early in the morning, you will transfer to Akagera national park, arriving early enough for lunch at Akagera game Lodge. Check in to the lodge, have lunch and then do for boat trip on Lake Ihema. Anticipate seeing hippos, water birds and crocodiles. Overnight stay and dinner at Ruzizi Tented Camp (Luxury) or Akagera game Lodge (Budget).
Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
In the morning, you will enjoy a game drive up to the upper part of the park to catch up with early risers before they do to their hiding place. The game drive will reward with wildlife experience and you will spot animals such as lions, antelopes, bush bucks and giraffes plus many more. Late morning, return to the hotel for a rest by and then lunch. After lunch, go for an afternoon boat voyage on Lake Ihema, where you enjoy seeing animals like hippos, crocodiles and a variety of bird species. Overnight stay and dinner at Ruzizi Tented Camp (Luxury) or Akagera game Lodge (Budget)
Day 4: Transfer from Akagera to Nyungwe National park
After your morning breakfast, you will set off to Nyungwe national park. You will stop over at Nyanza kings palace, Butare museum for a short tour and then have a lunch break and then go ahead with the drive to Nyungwe forest national park. You will reach at the park in the late evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Nyungwe top forest lodge (luxury), Nyungwe top view lodge (mid-range), Gisakura Guest House (budget).
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe Forest
After your morning breakfast, the guide will lead to the chimps tracking information for a briefing about the does and don’ts when chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe forest. Enter into the forest with your trekking gear, packed lunch and enough drinking water, searching for these primates is an interesting one as it involves hikes and spotting out other different primates in the forest. This takes about 1 to 6 hours depending on the place and movements of the endangered primates in their natural world. Get back for late lunch and you may decide to spend your evening as your resting at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at; Nyungwe top forest lodge (luxury), Nyungwe top view lodge (mid-range), Gisakura hotel (budget).
Day 6: Canopy walk and nature walk
After the morning breakfast, you will get into to the forest for his amazing activity as it involves walking on suspended loops hanged in the air ,enjoy the beautiful scenery of the forest and birds as hear them making their romantic sounds. This will offer with a wide view all over the Nyungwe national park. Dinner and overnight stay at Nyungwe Forest Lodge (luxury), Nyungwe Top View Lodge (luxury) and Gisakura guest house(mid-range).
Day 7: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and visit Musanze caves
After you morning breakfast, you will leave for volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri Northern Province of Rwanda. Reach there in the afternoon, enjoy lunch and later go ahead with drive to tour Musanze caves.it is a natural underground space which is large enough for human beings to enter. It was one of the hiding places for Rwanda’s during the genocide, the place is so exhilarating with a number of rooms inside it. You then return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain gorilla view lodge (luxury), La Palme/ Le bambou (mid-range),silver back lodge and Muhabura hotel (budget).
Day 8: Gorilla tracking in the volcanoes
After your morning breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarter a long side with your tracking gears, drinking water and packed lunch for a short briefing by the park warden about gorilla tracking. The guide will lead you to the gorilla tracking point trail and start searching the endangered primates in the forest. Trekking gorillas may take between 1 to 8 hours depending on the movement of these apes in their natural world. Upon seeing the gorillas all the safari happiness starts. You are permitted to spend 1 hour as you’re watching them at close range. You can take pictures, witness them as they play and make loud calls, this is one of the most interesting activity that you will make your trip a cheerful one. After the trekking, you will get back to the lodge for late lunch and later drive to visit Musanze cave from where you will spend the evening. Get back to lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at mountain gorilla view lodge (luxury), La Palme and Lee bambou lodge (mid-range), silver back lodge and Muhabura Hotel (Budget).
Day 9: Golden Monkey/Dian Fossey
After your morning breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarter a long side with your tracking gears, drinking water and packed lunch for a short briefing by the park warden about gorilla tracking. The guide will lead you to the gorilla tracking point trail and start searching the endangered primates in the forest. Golden Monkey trekking may take between 1 to 8 hours depending on the whereabouts and movement of these apes in their natural world. On seeing the monkeys, you are allowed to spend 1 hour as you’re watching them at close range. You can take pictures, witness them as they play and make loud calls, this is one of the most interesting activity that you will make your trip a brighter one .after the trekking ,you will transfer to Lake Kivu where you will spend the night. Dinner and overnight stay at; Lake Kivu Serena (luxury), Paradise Marahide (mid-range), Palm Beach resort hotel (budget).
Day 10: Boat cruise and transfer to Kigali
Enjoy the morning boat cruise at the lake and transfer back to Kigali for your departure flight.
